Tutorial: Eyeliner Basics

A lot of my clients ask me about eyeliner. It can be tricky, so I wanted to break down the basics on how to apply and use a pencil eyeliner. My go-to products for this look and application are linked below.

1. PENCIL | The Eyeliner Pencil in Teddy
This is one of my favorites! The way you hold the pencil can make or break your eyeliner technique. Hold the pencil towards the back and angle it on its side for the most precise application. Pull the outer corner of your eye taught, start in the middle of your lid, and apply in small dashes towards the outer corner. Take a look at the video for a visual!

2. BLEND | The Smudge Brush
I’ve linked to this brush in other posts. Let me reiterate: it’s a must-have! With this brush, you’ll go back over your eyeliner to softly smudge so it looks more natural.
